Managing Menopause
Navigating menopause from peri to post is a minefield. With so much contradictory information out there and so many symptoms to manage, it’s hard to work out what to do. Many women are left feeling hopeless, isolated and desperate to relieve symptoms. As a woman led organisation focussed on wellbeing, we are here to help.
Managing Menopause 3.5 hour workshop
We have designed a practical workshop that empowers women to make informed choices about their menopause journey and offers techniques to improve wellbeing and tackle symptoms. The workshop incorporates 3 key elements:
Understanding and Managing Menopause - Gain professional medical advice and information with a talk and Q&A from General Practitioner Dr Faye Harrison, whose specialist interest is womens’ health and menopause. Learn about what is happening to your body, changes in your hormones and which HRT and other effective treatment options there are available to manage symptoms.
Practical Pilates for menopause. Debs Newth Pilates and menopause expert will take you through 45 minutes of exercises designed to increase mobility, strength, bone health and balance.
Cold Water Therapy. Our cold water expert and open water coach Maggy will talk you through the health benefits of cold water swimming, acclimatisation, safety and breath techniques followed by a dip in the lake.
Workshops are limited to 10 participants to allow for plenty of interaction and questions with our expert team. Homemade cake, fruit and hot drinks are provided throughout the morning. Plus a goodie bag to take home.
Cost of the morning is £89. Paying to access all these experts individually could cost over £200. Here you will receive targeted advice, support, be empowered with knowledge and find community within a small group of likeminded women.
Not only are you investing in yourself but also a local social impact organisation. Proceeds from our workshops go towards funding our community initiatives to ensure all women can access the support they need for their wellbeing whatever their background or situation.
